The National Guard Relief Foundation is dedicated to supporting National Guard members and their families when financial hardship strikes.
National Guard families serve their communities, states, and country—often while balancing military obligations with civilian careers and family responsibilities. When an unexpected financial crisis occurs, NGRF is here to help provide stability and a path forward.
What sets NGRF apart is our commitment to serving the entire National Guard community, regardless of duty status. We provide assistance to eligible Guard members and their spouses, helping bridge critical financial gaps when other resources may not be available.
Through financial assistance, compassionate support, and responsible stewardship of donor funds, we work to ensure that Guard families facing difficult circumstances do not have to navigate them alone.
Our History
The National Guard Relief Foundation (NGRF) has deep roots in the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS).
Originally established as the We Care for America Foundation, NGRF was created by EANGUS to serve as its 501(c)(3) charitable arm and provide direct financial assistance to members of the National Guard community experiencing hardship.
Today, EANGUS and NGRF carry out complementary missions. EANGUS advocates for the interests and well-being of enlisted National Guard members, while NGRF provides direct financial relief to Guard members and families facing emergencies and unexpected financial hardship. Although our organizations share a common history and commitment to the National Guard community, EANGUS membership is not required to receive assistance from NGRF. Our programs are designed to ensure eligible members of the Guard community can access help when they need it.
Together, EANGUS and NGRF strengthen the National Guard community through advocacy, awareness, and direct support.
